Speaking of Horror Movies

An interesting article from Wired contends video game horror surpasses Hollywood horror these days.

I need to check out BioShock that he's talking about.

I've been playing Silent Hill again because the movie recently aired on cable. I do like the game better.

I haven't gotten into any of these games. Some sound like fun but mostly I prefer the SF games.

BioShock looks cool. What a twisted idea the "little sisters" turned out to be. Anyway, I think it's available on both the XBox360 (which I don't have) and the PC (which I do have). If that's the case, I'll get it for the PC. Maybe it'll have an online component and we can get a game going over the wires!

Oh yeah, as writers, this is a market we need to keep an eye on.

Yeah, Sidney, some of the games I've played have had drawn me in and given me frights as strong as any horror film. For instance, DOOM 3...Astonishing cinematics and some creepy moments that make you swallow your tonsils. RESIDENT EVIL 4. Or the amazing ETERNAL DARKNESS for the older GameCube.
